About

This book seeks to present biblical Christianity apart from its syncretistic integration with American politics, religion, and culture.
Whereas this topic has been explored ad nauseam, with emphases on political, historical, and racial aspects, this tome, though it references cultural issues prevalent throughout American history, attempts to highlight the biblical perspective.
The four essays: A Christian Nation, American Christianity, Relationships, and Truth, are self-contained. The reader can start with any essay of his or her choosing and receive a somewhat comprehensive treatment of that subject matter, from a biblical and slightly historical perspective. Each essay also has its own footnotes and bibliography. A statement made by someone during the editing process, "It's been a while since I've read a religious essay that I genuinely enjoyed (I actually have a minor in world religions)."
Another observation was, "The material is quite dense, which makes for slower going, but it's an enjoyable and very educational read."
Although these may not be acceptable as bona fide reviews, they could inform the prospective reader as to how to approach the material.
It is hoped that, for the believer, your faith will be enhanced and for the nonbeliever, it sheds some light on areas where there are questions.
