Kate gasped softly at the heat from Nat's mouth, but shook her head faintly. "I just hated seeing you treated like you weren't good enough. Because you are.""You don't know that," Nat whispered as she fought tears, even as she continued to warm Kate's hands. God, Kate's hands were soft. She could die happy in these hands. Under these hands."But I want to. Know you." Kate stilled Nat's comfort and closed the gap between their bodies. "I want to know you. All of you.""How do you know?" Nat asked, because she was a disaster and lived with her kid brother and always had sawdust in her shoes."Kiss me and we'll find out together," Kate whispered. And Nat wasn't one to turn down a request like that.
