About

The Celtic Love Knot Trilogy explores the lives and relationships of various figures from early Irish mythology interwoven around the dominating presence of the central character, Scáthach. Set around the time of the Táin Bó Cúailnge (Cattle Raid of Cooley, the centre of the mythological sagas of the Ulster Cycle), when presented as a whole it is an epic tale of grand proportion, a series of saga-type monologues written from each character's individual perspective, outlining the bloodlust, deceit, heroism, love, revenge, honour, and sacrifice that were the hallmarks of the time. Including a dose of the supernatural and early Irish paganism, the Celtic Love Knot Trilogy's rich text and first person narrative style brings the characters to life as real people readers will be able to relate to, feeling real emotions, facing fears both real and perceived, struggling with the same issues of self-worth, self-doubt, and questions of honour and responsibility we all do to some degree.
