The daughter of a Canadian physician who spent his career in China, Claire Malcolm Lintilhac (1899-1984) was born and grew up in the country, became a traveling nurse there, and saw firsthand the momentous events that roiled China through the whole first half of the 20th-century. Opening a unique window onto the making of the world's newest yet oldest superpower, China in Another Time, with over 160 vintage photos and drawings, is Lintilhac's own story, compiled from the writings and recorded storytelling she left behind.
