Those four years in high school weren't wasted, were they? They were the best four years of my life, right? It's hard to tell; it could have gone either way.
This book is about a slightly fictionalized account of my life in high school, inspired by actual events. Embellishments of strange happenings were unnecessary because human foibles ran rampant. However, most names and places have been, changed so as not to embarrass the guilty, inept and downright scurvy. The stories are retold in a series of vignettes which best captures my mood at the time. Let's hope I can poke a little fun at my former classmates, friends, teachers, townsfolk, family members and especially myself, without much angry backlash. But, why even write this book? Why bother after close to five decades of elapsed time? Does anyone really care anymore? I don't know. But while, slowly shuffling down my memory lane one day, and before embarking on this humorous writing journey, I sincerely searched my feelings and ulterior motives and decided that comedy still rules! Hopefully, you will be entertained and laugh along with me. Maybe at me as well!
