Being tasked with returning the gold to Sumpter, Marshal Felton must hire on additional Deputy's to assist him in returning the gold. But like usual, something goes eerie, and they lose the gold. It got its name when the U. S. Cavalry rides into it, where they spend the next three fun-filled days at the Fort in Pendleton, Oregon.
