Bret and Ani are back again with another adventure. The world is in turmoil. The American Civil War divided the nation into two geographical parts. Now, the former USA has fragmented into seven pieces, with five of them new countries. Negotiations have broken down, and the potential is all of North America being dragged into localized wars. Bret and Ani have a personal stake in this turbulence. One common thread is the new nations all dislike Bret, Ani, and their friends. Can Bret and Ani complete their mission of saving a life without starting a regional war? Who are the dreaded Purps? Who are the even more dreaded Nokors? Why would our heroes need unpaid mercenaries when their enemies have already broken the law in their own countries?
This adventure has everything . . . multinational crises, action, surprises, interfering love interests, and unexpected twists. There's love, hate, fear, and everything in between. You won't want to put the book down.
