A wave of authorarinism is sweepling the planet in which the future for many peoples has become dark. It would be in our interest to know the traits of budding empire/authoritarianism, so we can be alert to its dangers and prevent its rise. Yet we are not taught these basic traits, nor to even name the reality, for the power of empire is such that it suppresses this awareness. Along with the ten traits of empire, this work wrestles with questions posed upon the realization of empire, including, "Can there be a good empire?" and "How do we resist empire?" We invite you to read this work and gain a sense of history so that the world and its children can live in a richer and freer world.
