Alice's journey to Wonderland begins with a shopping trip to London where she buys a dusty top-hat. Inside this hat she discovers Benny Bunny, a rabbit who escorts the little nosy girl to his rabbit-hole, invites her in, and off she goes to Wonderland. In this land of surprises Alice meets numerous strange and whimsical inhabitants.
The royal couple go on a butterfly hunt and then prepare a picnic. But predatory ants steal the picnic basket while the Queen of Hearts prepares a mushroom dish. To the guests' surprise, eating the dish causes everyone to shrink to the size of ants.
Alice meets a little duck who is very upset and wants to leave Wonderland because he feels badly treated by the flamingos. To help the duckling, she leaves it in the care of a black swan...
The inhabitants of Wonderland hold an annual cleaning day but find that the laundry doesn't get clean. Alice is sure that this is due to the cold river water. When she reports this to the Queen of Hearts, the ruler gives her an almost impossible task...
The Cloud Sheep are on strike in Wonderland, so nobody can fall asleep. Everyone is aggressive and in a bad mood. Alice looks for a solution in the Queen of Hearts's palace, but the ruler, too, is in a bad mood.
